Emerging from some of South London’s favoured music venues, comes an arty set of oddballs otherwise known as Famous dropping their latest single 'Forever'. With a surprisingly uplifting chorus and a relatively DIY video, which sees vocalist Jack Merrett appearing as a floating head before being dowsed in layers of paint, the track’s characteristically harsh lyrics are reluctantly delivered with an anxiety-stricken snarl. Merrett explains, “(I) wrote 'Forever' about a year ago, whilst reading Goethe’s The Sorrows of Young Werther; a very beautiful but very ridiculous story about unrequited love. The more I read, the more the story started to resemble a situation in my own life. So I took the character’s names and, with that anonymity, was able to speak more cuttingly about my experiences.” Watch the video here now. -Holly Mullineaux
